MyWrite is an application providing authors the ability to hold digital book signings. With the higher royalties of e-books and their rapid rise in popularity, e-books provide authors a mechanism to deliver their content instantly to their readers while enjoying a larger percentage of the profits. However, digital books have an inherent disadvantage over their paper counterparts--personalization. At book signings, readers not only attend to hear a reading of the work, but to purchase books and have the author personalize them. Any reader knows that having their copy personalized by the author makes the book more valuable to them. Digital books need not suffer from this disability. This is where MyWrite comes in.

MyWrite enables authors to sell personalized, autographed, digital copies of their book at point of sale. By using a tablet device and connecting to the MyWrite service, authors can insert a personalization as well as their autograph into an ebook, and then send the reader their custom copy via email in seconds. Authors who sign up for the service may load as many of their ePub formatted titles as they wish. MyWrite is currently available for the iPhone and iPad devices and will eventually make its way into the Android market.
